The 2000m² immersive art space uses a large number of P2.5mm high-definition AVOE LED screens. The screen distribution is divided into two common spaces on the first floor and the second floor.
The LED screen and machinery cooperate to complete the space conversion, allowing people to experience different spatial scenes in the same space.
The first floor is divided into a fixed screen and a mobile screen. When the screen is mechanically closed, screens 1-7 will form a complete picture, with a total length of 41.92 meters X height of 6.24 meters, and a total resolution of 16768×2496 pixels.
The visual system of the entire space is classified by color, and it is divided into 7 colors for presentation: red, white, green, blue, purple, black, and white. In the seven color changes, the design team added CG digital art, real-time rendering technology, radar, and high-definition camera capture technology.
To ensure smooth real-time rendering, a visual control system integrating broadcasting control and rendering was designed. A total of 3 video servers were used, which not only ensured seamless switching with CG video, but also completed the multi-server frame synchronization function. At the same time, according to the needs of this work, the main creative team independently developed the program and operating software. The software interface can operate the changes of the screen in real-time, and change the noise density, speed, shape, and color of the content of the screen.
Illuminarium Experiences
If there ever existed one step further than the current immersive experience space, it’s Illuminarium Experiences, a new breed of multi-sensory immersion that blends immersive environments, high-budget filmmaking, theatrical design, and advanced technology and equipment. The sense of immersion, interaction, participation and sharing brought is unparalleled.
Illuminarium combines the most advanced technologies such as 4K interactive projection, 3D immersive audio, floor vibration and scent systems to create a multi-sensory experience of sight, hearing, smell, and touch. And visually realize the effect of “naked eye VR”, that is, you can see the picture presented like VR without wearing a device.
The 36,000-square-foot Illuminarium experience opens at AREA15 in Las Vegas on April 15, 2022, offering three different themed immersive experiences – “Wild: Safari Experience”, “Space: The Moon” Journey and Beyond” and “O’KEEFFE: Hundred Flowers”. Plus, there’s Illuminarium After Dark – an immersive pub nightlife experience.
Whether it’s the African jungle, exploring the depths of space, or sipping cocktails on the streets of Tokyo. From exhilarating natural wonders to rich cultural experiences, there are so many extraordinary wonders that you can see, hear, smell, and touch unfold before your eyes, and you’ll be part of it.
The Illuminarium experience hall uses more than $15 million in technical equipment and various cutting-edge technologies. When you walk into the Illuminarium, it’s unlike anywhere you’ve ever been,
The projection system uses the latest Panasonic projection system, and the sound comes from HOLOPLOT’s most advanced sound system. Its “3D beam forming technology” is amazing. It is only a few meters away from the sound, and the sound is different. The layered sound will make the experience more three-dimensional and realistic.
In terms of haptics and interaction, low-frequency haptics were built into Powersoft’s system, and Ouster’s LIDAR system was installed on the ceiling. It can track and capture the movements of tourists and conduct real-time data monitoring. The two are superimposed to create a perfect interactive experience.
The smell in the air will also be adjusted as the screen changes, and the rich smell can trigger a deeper experience. There is also a special optical coating on the video wall to enhance the visual effect of VR.
With more than three years of production and investment of tens of millions of dollars, the emergence of Illuminarium will undoubtedly raise the immersive experience to a different level, and the multi-sensory experience will definitely become a development direction in the future.
